Data sources & methodology
FuelWide uses official government sources only — no scraping, no crowdsourcing, no estimates presented as measurements. Every number on the site carries its update date, and every page links back here. Where data is slower or narrower, we say so with a visible confidence label instead of pretending.

How the Fair Price Score works
The FuelWide Fair Price Score (0–100) answers “is this a good price right now?”. For US areas it is computed from that area's own history: position within the 52-week price range plus the move against the 4-week average. For European countries it is cross-sectional: where the country ranks among the 42 European countries we track this week, its distance from the EU average, and the direction of the EU-wide 4-week trend. Asian countries are scored the same cross-sectional way, ranked against their 30 regional peers. The score compares averages — it does not predict future prices and it is not station-level advice.
